Cadillac cotes de Bordeaux


Cadillac Cotes de Bordeaux appellation is reserved for red still wine located south east ( Green ) within the Bordeaux wine region as seen in our Bordeaux wine glass.  
 

The geographical area of the controlled designation of the appellation Cotes de Bordeaux is situated in the Gironde department, on the right banks of the Garonne, the Dordogne and Gironde. 

 Red wines of the appellation Cadillac Cotes de Bordeaux are distinguished by their deep colour,  almost black in their appearance.

 Wines are round and well structured,  to be consumed young for their fruit or equally, wines can benefit greatly if it is left to age between 4 - 10 years or more.

 Ageing softens its structure and provides a rounder body that gains intensity.

 To comply with regulations, the vines have a minimum planting density of 4,500 vines per hectare.

The red wines are subject to a minimum rearing until the 15th March of the year following that of the harvest.

The Geographical designation Cadillac Cotes De Bordeaux  grape harvest, wine making and development also ageing of wines are guaranteed in the territory of the following municipalities in the Gironde:

Bassens, Baurech, Beguey Bouliac, Cadillac, Cambes, Camblanes et Meynac, Capian,Carbon Blanc, Cardan, Carignan de Bordeaux, Cenac Cenon, Donzac, Floirac, Gabarnac, Haux, Langoiran, Laroque Latresne, Lestiac-sur-Garonne, Lormont, Loupiac Monprimblanc, Omet, Paillet,Quinsac, Rions, Saint Caprais de Bordeaux, Sainte Croix du Mont, Sainte Eulalie, Saint Germain Degrave, Saint Maixant, Semens, Tabanac, The Turn, Verdelais, Villenave de Rions and Yvrac.
